Week 4(first phase teaching practice)

              We have completed 4 weeks of first phase teaching practice 

           In this week I have taken chemistry classes in 9F class on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday I have taught about ozone and ozone layer depletion.  Tuesday I have discussed about nitrogen and it's importance for plants.Students could understand the concept through discussion observation and engaging in activities.

I have got substitution classes on Monday and Tuesday in 9F.Thus I have provided chemistry notes for students.

I have taken physics class in 8J on Wednesday and Friday. On Wednesday I have taught  image formation in convex mirrors and magnification. On that day my optional teacher came to my school for observation.

On Friday I have taken uses of concave and convex mirrors.It was taught through ICT. Students could understand concept through discussion and activities. 

I got substitution classes in 8J on Friday. I have provided the physics notes on topics I have already taught.

On Wednesday we have conducted a poster making competition based on world AIDS day for 9th students as part of our school based activity and selected the winners.











On Wednesday I have taken chemistry class for 9A class on the topic oxygen because of the request of my concern teacher of the school.


I used my leisure time for  writing lesson plans. All days we got some substitution duties.

All days we have noon meal serving duty and discipline duty after National anthem 

Overall this week was fine and good 👍

 First phase of our teaching practice was started from November 6 2023 onwards. We a group of 6 members - myself Neethu, Navya, Anupama from physical science optional and Anie,Razia and Asha from mathematics optional were assigned VPS malankara HSS Venganoor. I was assigned to taught physics class in 8J and chemistry class in 9F  First I have taken characteristics of acids and it's reaction  with metals and carbonates in 9F class. I also engaged in substitution classes Second day because of Education strike ,lot of students were absent in classes.ln my 9F class only 9 students out of 52 were presented so that I couldn't take class in that day. Third day I have physics class in 8J. I have started new chapter -Reflection of light in spherical mirrors.I have taught spherical mirrors and it's technical terms. Week 7(second phase teaching practice)

 We completed 7 weeks of second phase teaching practice  Mid term examination was started from Monday onwards. We had the duty for arranging the question papers. Assembly was conducted by the science club members as part of Chandrayan day. There was speech, songs and simple skit related to this day.  I had physics class in 8C. There I taught the topic displacement. Students could understand the method of finding distance and displacement through activities. I had exam duty of mid term examination  On Tuesday mid term exam was conducted on second period and sixth period.I had exam duty in two periods. I presented my innovative work in 9D class. It was a game. It was based on the chapter structure of atom that I have taught. Students was very interesting on seeing my innovative work.After the national anthem I had exam duty of mid term examination of std 10. It was from 3:45pm to 4:15 pm  On Wednesday mid term examination was conducted on 3rd period and 7th period. I had exam duty in two
